  1. $250 to $2,500 a ticket? We are talking about the same Paul Gallegos, right? He of the two-digit IQ and “environmental” values?

  2. Dork, Dork, Dork. You know if every time you read the words “local environmentalist” you mentally replace that with “pot grower,” Humboldt County starts to make a lot more sense.

  3. What’s this fuss about? When has Gallegos not been paid for by growers?

  4. This man needs to go to Oz and ask for a fucking conscience.

  5. As you all know, Gags supports legalization but doesn’t endorse it.

  6. $2,500 a head? I could buy an ounce for that.

  7. Huh? If you’re willing to pay $2,500 an ounce, please come see me because boy do I have a deal for you.

  8. LOL, Sherman. Shows what I know about pot. What does $2.500 buy?

  9. A District Attorney.

  10. Spank

  11. Make that SPANK!!!!

  12. 2.5K won’t buy the DA. It will, however, be a good downpayment on a dismissal,
a no file, or a grant of probation.

  13. Gotta love that euphimism ” medical cannabis industry ” sounds so much better than ” potheads and stoners ” .

  14. And remember, he’s also signed up to help decide the Supervisor Redistricting.

  15. Gross. I threw up in my mouth thinking about how slimey Gallegos is. Just gross.

  16. Let’s help some of PVG’s friends RSVP for the big event. Here’s a sample for EPIC:
    “Dear Paul
Due to prior commitments with the penal system, and a sudden shortage of cash & sellable product, we will be unable to attend your fundraiser. As strong backers of your past campaigns we look forward to your continued lax enforcement of issues that impact us and willingness to prosecute our enemies for imaginary crimes.”
P.S. Thanks for the heads up last week…….dickhead

  17. Mr. Paul “Vote Local Control/Measure T” Gallegos goes whoring for money to pay off his campaign debt, wait for it… out of the area.

The only way he could get elected is by lying about who and what he is. He pretended to be Mr. Law and Order and the reporters let him get away with it. he called himself a professor and the democrats (Milt Boyd) and the reporters let him get away with it. He pretends – but now he shows exactly who and what he is a hypocritical liar, and if you don’t recognize him as the most corrupt DA in this state there is something seriously wrong with you.

The only good thing is knowing that they’re buying a worthless pig in a poke – he’s been made out to be something he ain’t – even for them. He has let them down, they know it, but they don’t care, evidently.

Hypocrites. All. Despicable, dope-dealing, tax-cheating wretched excuses for human beings.

  18. hey whats with fundraising now? , Isn’t the election OVER?? um……I guess he still has alot of campaign debt that he needs to pay off………..

SPEAKING of cliff clendenan……..he still OWES almost $25,000 from his 2008 campaign . people that supported him in the past do not feel like giving him $$ this time because it’s just going to go to paying off this old 2008 campaign debt.

  19. holy shit rose, settle down already. you really need to start working for a living. get a job already.

  20. I don’t get the outrage. Politicians hold fundraisers all the time. It’s a fact of life in the life of a politician. It will be good to see Paul in Sacramento.

  21. How unsurprising that a man of your intelligence would think so.

  22. Paul the pot whore? How disgusting Mr Bird. May I just say “eat shit” you stand for nothing except corruption, greed, incompetence and hypocritical bullshit. But feel free to have diarrhea of the mouth.

  23. shit, don’t act like conservatives don’t smoke weed too. in fact, i know a certain local insuranceman who has some of the best weed in town. ask him to share next time.

  24. Last I heard, former Humb. Co. Supervisor Bonnie Neely is Humboldt Growers Association’s lobbyist in Sacramento. I would guess that Bonnie is connected to Gallegos’ Sacramento fundraiser. Politics makes strange bedfellows.

  25. The late Roger Rodoni, may he rest in peace, was a major advocate for the legalization of marijuana, using his position as a county supervisor to lobby for it. He wrote a letter in 2007 to the federal government on behalf of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors asking the feds to legalize marijuana. Where was your outrage then?

  26. Where’s the outrage?

  27. Andrew,
I should have asked “Where’s the outrage from me?” I was simply passing on alleged factual information. The “strange bedfellows” remark is directly related to the fact that Bonnie at one time dispised Gallegos for beating her husband Terry Farmer in his re-election bid for District Attorney.

  28. The fact is that it is a crime. The fact is that voters especially Sohum voted to keep it illegal. Gags is corrupt and does more to support criminals than anything else.

  29. Andrew, you really are stupid. A SUPERVISOR is NOT involved in making decisions about PROSECUTING the very people he is accepting money from.

I HOPE he is VERY successful at this obvious move to drag his sorry ass up the political ladder – get him out of Humboldt County. Gee, maybe he can be a state legislator, and help drive the state deeper into bankruptcy.

Cheer it on, Andrew. You’re good at it.

Monkey wrench in the road – Ron Paul and Bawney Fwank are proposing to make it legal federally – God help us all I hope they ram it through, whether they read it or not.

  30. So, today’s paper says
Dino Cardelli, 50, pleaded guilty Monday to continuous sexual abuse of a minor, child molestation, attempting to dissuade a witness, and 25 counts of violating a court order to not contact the witness.
He faces up to 18 years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender for life.
Deputy District Attorney Kelly Neel said the law requires Cardelli to go through what is commonly referred to as a “psycho-sexual” evaluation for the court’s consideration prior to sentencing.

That’s interesting. Because it means he got a deal that leaves him eligible for probation. And that’s funny, because the District Attorney originally charged him with charged him with three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a child under 14 years old, seven counts alleging there were multiple victims in the case, two counts of oral copulation with a child under 16, recurring sexual conduct with a victim under 14 and a special allegation of a victim under 14.
If that’s accurately reported, he was facing 15 years to life in prison for multiple victims, and he was statutorily ineligible for probation because he engaged in substantial sexual conduct with a minor.

And now he’s eligible for probation? Pot is the least of your problems with this DA

  31. Oh yeah. He’s totally eligible for probation and will probably get it since Neel doesn’t know what she’s doing and dismissed all the other charges. The guy could get as little as six years. This gal will spin anything anyway and the press unfortunately doesn’t know or care. Why she has a job is puzzling but since laziness and incompetence is the standard for Gallegos, well let’s just say she fits in well. Neel is not regarded well with folks in the trenches due to dishonesty problems. Sad.

  32. So bird go F yourself. Don’t you ever use Rogers name to support your BS. You are not man enough to wipe Rogers butt. You make me sick and so does your boss.

  33. Well Rose. Don’t forget to tell me how stupid I was for predicting the FPPC would reject the bogus complaint against Clif Clendenen. What surprised me was how fast the FPPC rejected it. I’ve never seen the FPPC act that fast.

If you want to call Paul the “pot advocate DA,” that’s your business. I don’t think anybody’s feelings are too hurt.

But I’m a bit puzzled why you didn’t call Roger Rodoni the pot advocate Supervisor when he championed for the legalization of marijuana from his seat on the Board of Supervisors. Can you explain that?

  34. Simple Andy,

Roger was a county supervisor, one who sets county policy.

Paul is the chief law enforcement official of the county, charged with enforcing the laws already in place – not to pick and choose which laws he likes and which he doesnt – quite simple, actually.

  35. That would be correct 6:33. Andy is to simple to figure out the difference. The DA seems to be letting bucks to his campaign infuence who gets charged and who doesn’t. Totally different than a supervisor and what his role is. Growing for sale is illegal period. Taking money from criminals is corrupt. That’s the difference. People can say that we should legalize weed ok. Until its legal enforce the law. Incidentally in this county the growing community voted to keep it illegal cause of the money. Hypocrites all of them. Touch down!

BTW: tra is still deranged. Mitch is a freakin whack job. And Plain Jane is simply an angry closed minded ranting broad who lusts after poor old Franklin’s “package”.

BBTW: looks like there is some shit going down at EPD.

  36. I get that you don’t like the idea of Paul raising money from the medical cannabis industry. I disagree. In California medical cannabis is legal and it doesn’t compromise Paul any more than if he accepts campaign contributions from the timber industry, the cattlemen or fishermen associations or the beer and wine lobbies. Paul could have to prosecute people from any one of these or a number of other industries if they break the law.

What I don’t get is how Paul Gallegos respecting the legal use of marijuana offends you, when the late Roger Rodoni was an outspoken advocate for the legalization, regulation and taxation of marijuana yet nobody called him the pot advocate supervisor.

  37. Give it a break Bird. It is not legal to grow to sell MJ. Period. Not in California and not in any other county other than Humboldt. Saying its ok doesn’t make it so and frankly when you do just demonstrates how dense you are. I am sure lil EPIC Amber’s 500 lbs was for medicine?

Andy boy, get a real job with a real employer instead of being the apologist clown.

  38. Why chesbro keeps the Bird around is simply beyond me. The TS sure didn’t and for good reasons. The idea that the dope growers in HC are doing it for sick people is fucking hysterical. Really Bird? Sorry I know too many who grow for profit and you are just an apologist and a bad one at that. Let me break it to you. Nobody in the U.S. including the growers believes it Bird. Go back to HH and defend Nielson or something. Your stupidity here doesn’t help Wes and it just confirms just how whacked out you really are.

  39. If it helps you, I don’t like cannabis. I don’t use it. I don’t like being around it. And frankly the cannabis culture in Humboldt was a turn off. I’m ambivalent about the total legalization of cannabis. But, like the prohibition of alcohol, criminalizing cannabis is more detrimental to the public good than making it legal. Roger Rodoni recognized this and he had the courage to speak out for legalization. I know you respected him.

  40. Let me type really slowly because Byrd is Challenged. Who gives a shit when you are talking from both sides of your mouth? Dude legalization is NOT the issue. Its not legal and we have a DA bought and paid for with crime profits. Bite me you idiot.

  41. Oh and EPIC has 500 pounds of medicine for free. We are a philanthropy org. Pot.com. Daforsale.com. GivememoneycauseIoweonmypoliticalloans.com. KenMilleraintgottherealgreen.com. Myhag’sathomesoipickupchicksatpearl.thkgd

  42. Ha, I betcha 10:27 PM is speaking of Mr. B at George Peterson

    Nothing better than a 215!

  43. Medical MJ IS legal in California under Prop 215 but is currently illegal under Federal Law but, On March 18, 2009, Attorney General Eric Holder announced “a shift in the enforcement of federal drug laws, saying the administration would effectively end the Bush administration’s frequent raids on distributors of medical marijuana. Who really gives a shit who is raising money for Gags? Robert Goodman Wines gave him money as well as all 3 casinos. Why not the Medical Marijuana Industry? Open your eyes and pay attention to whats going on with the current ordnance making its way through the County Board of Supervisors. When you can grasp and understand the proposal, then talk about it on this useless blog. Until then, put your head back into that deep dark place between your ass cheeks

  44. Yay!! Another enlightened prog. Welcome, new friend!

  45. Andy – you work for a government official. You should NOT be spouting off on blogs. It’s bad form, and it basically implies that you are speaking with your boss’s approval.

Maybe, in fact, this is part of your job. If so, you create a very interesting conundrum for your boss. If I were him, I would order you to cease and desist or be fired.

Do you understand at all what is wrong with someone in your position posting blather on blogs?

What say you?
